  • Dalia’s is okay, but it definitely feels like your typical neighborhood daycare when it comes to germs. My little one has picked up quite a few colds since starting, and I wish they were a bit stricter with the sick policy because it feels like there's always a kid with a runny nose in the classroom. Communication is decent though—the staff usually lets us know if something like HFM or a stomach bug is going around, but you really have to stay on top of asking yourself. It’s clean enough, but nothing spectacular; it just feels like they are doing the bare minimum to keep up with the chaos of a bunch of toddlers in an urban space.

  • Honestly, I've been pretty happy with how Dalia’s Busy Bee handles the kiddos getting sick. Living in Chicago, you know how stuff spreads fast once it gets cold, but the teachers are really on top of wiping down the toys and those high-touch spots. They have a pretty strict policy about fever-free days before the kids can come back, which can be a literal headache for my work schedule, but I get why they do it. It keeps the whole class from going down at once. The communication is usually great—I usually get a quick text or a note if something like HFM or a stomach bug is going around the center. It feels like a clean, safe spot for my little one, even if the building itself is a bit older.
