Honestly, I’m pretty concerned about the state of the building at DuBois. I was looking through some of the district board notes and noticed they've had to put in emergency requests for basic things like sink repairs and other operational issues. It makes you wonder how well the kids can even wash their hands properly if the plumbing is constantly on the fritz. The school is older and definitely feels it; it’s hard to focus on 'wellness' when you're worried about the actual infrastructure and cleanliness of the facility. Between the maintenance delays and the general vibe on the South Side right now, it feels like our kids are getting the short end of the stick. I really wish they would prioritize the physical environment more because it's definitely affecting the kids' health and overall experience.
