We Care Before and After Care

Honestly, We Care is just okay for us. The yoga and dance classes they do are a nice touch for keeping the kids moving, and they seem to try with the wellness stuff, but the facility feels really cramped at times. My main gripe is the communication when something is going around; I feel like I find out about a stomach bug or a cold from other parents in the neighborhood before the staff actually says anything. It’s clean enough for a Chicago daycare, but it’s definitely not spotless. It’s convenient if you live in Chicago Lawn and need the weird hours, but don’t expect a top-tier healthy oasis.

I'm honestly pretty worried about the health environment at We Care. The Chicago Lawn location always feels so cramped, and with the high student-to-staff ratios, it feels like germs just sweep through the place constantly. My kid has come home with three different colds in two months, and I rarely get a heads-up from the staff when something is going around. It’s hard to keep things clean when there are so many kids in such a small space, especially for a before and after care setup where everyone is coming from different schools. I really wish they would tighten up their sick policy because it feels like a bit of a free-for-all right now.
