  • Honestly, keeping my kid healthy at Victor Herbert has been such a struggle. The building is older and you can really tell—the ventilation feels non-existent and it seems like every time a cold goes around the classroom, my daughter is guaranteed to catch it. With the school being in such a high-traffic area of Chicago, I expected a bit more focus on air quality or at least better communication when there's an outbreak, but it feels like the staff is just spread too thin. The attendance rates aren't great either, which makes me think a lot of other parents are dealing with the same constant cycle of sickness at home. It’s frustrating because I want to support the school, but the environment just doesn't feel like a priority.
