  • Honestly, it’s a bit of a mixed bag at Bright Horizons IMD. Being right in the medical district, you’d think the health protocols would be next level, but it feels like your standard daycare revolving door of germs. The facility looks clean enough when you walk in, but my little one has definitely brought home every single bug going around the classroom this season. I do appreciate that they are pretty strict about the fever-free policy before kids can come back, though it's a huge pain for working parents when you get that 'come pick them up' call for a minor runny nose. Communication about what's actually circulating in the building could be way better—sometimes I only find out a kid has hand, foot, and mouth after my own child starts showing spots. It's okay, but for the price and the location, I expected a more proactive approach to wellness.

  • Being right in the middle of the medical district, you'd expect them to be on top of health stuff, and honestly, they really are. The facility is super clean and they have a pretty strict policy about kids staying home if they have a fever, which can be a pain for working parents but it definitely keeps the 'classroom plague' from spreading as much. My son’s teacher is great about reminding them to wash hands, though I do wish they’d give us a little more heads-up when a stomach bug is going around instead of just the standard email. Overall, it’s a solid, healthy environment for the little ones.
