My kid has been at Rainforest for a little while now and it’s a bit of a mixed bag honestly. On the plus side, the teachers are super sweet and you can tell they actually care about the kids’ well-being. But man, the germ situation is tough. It feels like every other week there's a new bug going around the classroom, and while I know that's just 'daycare life,' I wish the communication about outbreaks was a little faster so I could plan ahead. The facility looks okay, but it's a tight space and sometimes feels like everyone is on top of each other, which definitely doesn't help when flu season hits. It’s a convenient spot in Logan Square, but you definitely need a backup plan for when the inevitable sniffles turn into a mandatory day home.

Rainforest is okay, but I've definitely had some mixed feelings about the health side of things. It’s a smaller daycare in Logan Square, so it’s pretty convenient, but it feels like there's a revolving door of colds and stomach bugs. I know that's part of the 'daycare life,' but I wish they were a bit more proactive about deep cleaning the shared spaces or actually enforcing the 24-hour fever-free policy. Communication when a kid in the class gets something like hand-foot-and-mouth is hit or miss—sometimes we get an email right away, other times we hear it from another parent first. It works for us for now, but I'm always on high alert for whatever germ is coming home next.
