  • Honestly, the constant revolving door of colds and stomach bugs here is just too much. I know it's daycare, but the communication when there's an outbreak in the infant room is super spotty. The space feels pretty cramped for the number of kids they have in each section, and with it being right on Madison, the ventilation doesn't feel the greatest—it always smells a bit stale. I've also noticed they're pretty lax about the sick policy; I’ve seen kids dropped off with clear fevers and green noses because the staff is too swamped to push back. It makes it impossible for the rest of our kids to stay healthy.

  • Rainforest is okay for the West Loop area, but it's definitely a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to the wellness side of things. On one hand, the teachers really do try to keep the rooms clean and they talk a lot about 'wellness culture,' which sounds great on paper. But honestly, it feels like my little one is constantly coming home with a new bug. It's a high-traffic city daycare, so I get that germs spread, but the sick-child policy feels a little inconsistent depending on who is at the front desk that day. Also, seeing they are hiring lead teachers for around $38k makes me worry about burnout and high turnover—low staff morale usually means the cleaning and deep-sanitizing routines are the first things to slip. It’s a safe enough spot and the location is super convenient for work, but don't expect a pristine environment.
