Mt. Greenwood is generally a solid neighborhood school, and it usually feels pretty clean when I’m there for drop-off, but the communication about illness is kind of hit or miss. I did notice in some recent board agendas that they’ve been approving a bunch of air filter replacements for the HVAC units, which honestly makes me feel better about the ventilation since these CPS buildings can get so stuffy and old. My kid hasn't come home with anything major other than the usual seasonal sniffles, but I wish the sick-child policy was a bit more strictly enforced because it feels like there’s always a few kids in class with 'just a cold' that ends up spreading. It’s a decent environment overall, but nothing that blows me away in terms of wellness support.
