  • My kid has been at Pasteur for a couple of years now and honestly, it’s a struggle. The school's chronic absenteeism is way too high—over 25%—which tells you everything you need to know about the health culture here. It feels like there is always something going around and the communication from the office about illness outbreaks is basically nonexistent. The classroom sizes are also pretty cramped, so when one kid gets a cough, the whole grade has it by Friday. I know they've talked about getting grants for 'infrastructure improvements' lately, which the building definitely needs because the ventilation is old and dusty, but we haven't seen much change on the ground yet. It’s frustrating because it feels more like a revolving door of sick kids than a healthy learning environment.
