Jacob Beidler Elementary School

I'm honestly feeling pretty uneasy about the health situation at Beidler lately. Just checking the recent board agendas and maintenance logs, and it looks like they've had ongoing issues with their cleaning equipment like the floor scrubbers being out of commission, which makes me wonder how deep they're actually getting those hallways clean during flu season. The attendance rates have been a struggle for a while now, and it feels like there’s always a bug going around because kids aren't staying home. It feels like the school is just stretched too thin to really prioritize wellness or preventative health. Between the older building vibes and the slow response on repairs, I’m constantly worried about the air quality and general hygiene in my kid's classroom.

My son has been at Beidler for two years now and honestly, I’ve been pretty happy with how they handle the 'germ season.' The school always looks pretty clean when I’m there for pick-up, and they are really on top of sending out emails if a kid in the class has something contagious so we can watch for symptoms. The staff is really sweet too—whenever my little one had a scraped knee or a tummy ache, the nurse was super patient and actually called me to check in. My only real gripe is that sometimes the sick-child policy feels a little inconsistent depending on which staff member you talk to, but overall they really seem to care about keeping the kids healthy and active.
