God's Spot 4 U Daycare

My experience with God's Spot 4 U Daycare has been okay, but there are definitely some trade-offs. It's a small place in East Garfield Park and the small capacity (only about 30 kids) is nice because it doesn’t feel like a germ factory compared to some of the huge centers I’ve seen. The staff is really sweet and they have a faith-based approach that feels very nurturing, which I appreciate for my little one. However, the communication can be a bit hit or miss when it comes to sickness going around. I wish they were a little more proactive about letting us know when there's a bug in the classroom instead of waiting for us to figure it out ourselves. The facility looks clean enough, but it’s an older building, so you definitely have to stay on them about dust and general upkeep. It’s a solid local option if you need something close by, but you’ll want to keep your own eye on the health protocols.

My little one has been at God's Spot for about six months now and it's been a solid experience. The facility on Kedzie is always kept really tidy, and you can tell they actually scrub the toys down which is a huge relief during flu season. They are pretty strict about the '24-hour fever-free' rule before kids can come back, which can be a hassle for work schedules, but honestly, it keeps the whole class from getting wrecked by every bug that goes around. The staff is great about calling right away if my son seems off or develops a cough. It’s a smaller neighborhood spot, so it feels more personal than those giant corporate centers, and they really focus on making sure the kids are washing their hands and staying healthy.
