  • Honestly, Erie is such a lifesaver for our family. You can tell they really care about the 'whole kid' and not just watching them while you work. They are super on top of health screenings and they actually have access to mental health support, which you rarely find in a standard daycare setting. The facility on Van Buren stays pretty clean even with a million toddlers running around, and they are good about calling you if someone in the class has a fever so you aren't left in the dark. It’s a busy community hub so it can feel a bit crowded at pickup, but the staff really monitors safety and wellness closely. It feels more like a supportive community than just a place to drop off your child.

  • Honestly, I’ve been really happy with Erie House since my kid started. It’s an older building in the Near West Side, but the teachers are so on top of keeping the classrooms tidy and making the little ones wash their hands constantly. They’re super strict about the '24-hour fever-free' rule, which can be a pain when you have to call out of work, but it definitely keeps the nasty bugs from spreading through the whole class. Communication is pretty solid too—we usually get a quick heads-up via email if something like hand, foot, and mouth is going around. It feels more like a community than just a daycare, and they actually seem to care about the kids' wellness and nutrition instead of just giving them junk.
