  • So far we've had a pretty good run at Rayito de Sol. The facility on Addison always looks super clean when I drop off, and they actually seem to take their sanitizing routine seriously, which is a huge relief when you're dealing with preschool germs. I really appreciate how the staff handles the typical seasonal bugs; they're quick to send out notifications if something like hand, foot, and mouth is going around so we aren't caught off guard. The teachers are really hands-on with the kids, though I do wish the communication about daily wellness—like exactly how much they ate or how long they napped—was a bit more detailed some days. Still, it's a solid, healthy environment where my kid feels safe, and I haven't seen the constant back-to-back illnesses that some of my friends deal with at other centers. Plus, the emphasis on getting them active and the dual-language aspect keeps them mentally engaged, which is just as important for their overall well-being.

  • Honestly, keeping a toddler healthy in daycare is a full-time job, but Rayito de Sol does a pretty solid job with it. The North Center location is always super clean when I drop off my son, and you can tell they actually enforce their sick policy which I appreciate—even if it's annoying to get that 'come pick them up' call, it keeps the whole class from getting taken out by the same bug. The teachers are really on top of handwashing, and it’s a relief to see they aren't just letting things slide. My only gripe is that communication about local outbreaks could be a little faster, but overall, the environment feels safe and well-maintained for a preschool.
