  • To be honest, the health situation at Irving Park ITC is pretty frustrating. It’s a tiny space and because they take in so many little ones, it feels like my toddler is constantly coming home with something new every other week. The communication about when a bug is going around the classroom is really hit or miss, and I’ve definitely seen kids dropped off with clear symptoms without anyone stepping in. Chicago daycare standards are usually okay, but here it feels like the cleaning doesn't happen deep enough to stop the cycle of germs in such a tight spot. If your kid has a sensitive stomach or catches stuff easily, you might want to look elsewhere.

  • One of the things I appreciate most about Irving Park Infant Toddler Center is how much attention they give to children’s overall well-being, not just academics or milestones, but full-body health and emotional balance. The teachers take a mindful approach to everything from nutrition to daily routines. Snacks and meals are healthy and thoughtfully planned, and outdoor time is a big priority, even in colder months. I’ve also noticed how intentional they are about emotional health. The staff models calm communication, encourages self-regulation, and respects each child’s individual pace. My child has learned not only words and colors but also how to take a “feelings breath” when upset, which we now use at home, too! It’s rare to find a childcare center that views wellness in such a holistic way. Irving Park Infant Toddler Center feels more like a community space for growth than just a daycare. We feel genuinely supported as a family striving to raise a happy, healthy child.

  • We’ve had such a positive experience at Irving Park Infant Toddler Center. From the first week, the teachers made our child (and us!) feel welcomed, supported, and seen. The classrooms are bright, clean, and thoughtfully set up with plenty of sensory and creative play options — it’s clear how much care goes into making this a safe and stimulating space for little ones. What stands out most is the way the staff communicates. They share daily updates, photos, and milestones, which makes me feel connected even when I’m at work. They really take the time to get to know each child’s personality and comfort level, adapting routines as needed so transitions are gentle and consistent. Our child comes home happy, tired, and full of new words and songs. It’s such a relief to know they’re spending their days with teachers who genuinely care. Irving Park Infant Toddler Center has become an extension of our family — we couldn’t be happier with the nurturing environment and the sense of community they foster among families.
