American Montessori Academy - South Loop

I honestly can't say enough good things about how clean this school is. My little one is in the infant/toddler program and I was so worried about the typical daycare germs, but they take health and sanitizing super seriously here. You can tell just by walking in—it doesn't have that 'stale' smell some centers do, and the staff is really on top of their game with handwashing and keeping the toys scrubbed down. Even with the younger kids being total germ magnets, we've had way fewer sick days this year than I expected. It’s a huge relief knowing the environment is actually being maintained properly.

Honestly, I've been really happy with how the South Loop campus handles everything health-related. Since it’s a Montessori setup, the kids are constantly moving and working with their hands, so I was a bit worried about germs at first, but they are super diligent about handwashing and keeping the classrooms clean. They’re pretty strict about the '24-hour symptom-free' rule before coming back to school, which can be a hassle for work schedules, but it definitely keeps the seasonal bugs from wiping out the whole class. Communication is solid too; if something like hand-foot-and-mouth or a cold is going around the primary rooms, we get an email right away so we can keep an eye out. It feels like a very safe, clean environment for the little ones.
