Honestly, Madison is a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, the school culture feels really warm and they do a lot of wellness stuff like the 'Kindness Wall' which my kid loves, but the actual building feels like it could use some serious TLC. It's an older school in Springfield and you can definitely tell—some of the classrooms feel pretty stuffy and I've wondered about the ventilation during flu season. Communication about when bugs are going around is okay, but I wish they were a bit stricter with the sick-child policy because it feels like there's always a lingering cough in the halls. It's not the worst, but it doesn't feel like the state-of-the-art healthy environment I'd hope for.
