Arbor View Elementary School

Arbor View Elementary does a pretty good job with health and safety. The school generally feels clean, and I rarely see obvious messes. They are usually quick to inform parents about illnesses like flu or strep going around, which I appreciate. The sick-child policy seems to be enforced reasonably well; I haven't seen clearly ill children in class. Staff, especially the office and nurse, are responsive if you call with a health concern about your child or need to pick them up early. My only minor gripe is that sometimes the communication about a specific classroom's exposures could be a bit more proactive.

Illness communication could be more proactive; sometimes I hear about outbreaks after the fact. The school's sick policy is clearly outlined, and from what I've seen, it's enforced fairly well, which is reassuring. Staff responsiveness to health concerns, particularly from the nurse, is excellent and they are always willing to discuss any concerns.
