  • Camp Peairs in IL definitely has room for improvement when it comes to health and safety. While the staff were generally responsive if you cornered them, proactive communication about illnesses wasn't their strong suit. We heard about a few cases of stomach bugs and colds after the fact, rather than getting timely alerts. Their 'sick policy' seemed a bit vague and not always consistently enforced, leading to some kids clearly under the weather still participating in activities. Cleanliness was okay in the main areas, but the cabins felt a bit grimy at times. It felt like they were trying, but perhaps stretched too thin to truly excel in health oversight.
