  • Roosevelt is okay, but it definitely feels like an older building and you can tell. My biggest gripe is the communication when stuff starts going around the classrooms; it feels like I only find out a stomach bug is hitting the grade after half the kids are already home. On the plus side, the PTA is actually really involved in trying to support the school, and I know they’ve been working on wellness initiatives and getting more health info out to families. It’s not the most modern setup, and the nurse’s office always seems packed, but the staff genuinely cares about the kids even if they're stretched a bit thin.

  • Honestly, Roosevelt is kind of a mixed bag when it comes to health. On one hand, the PTA actually seems involved and they've done some cool stuff like setting up a vegetable greenhouse, which my kid loves for the fresh air and hands-on wellness. It's nice to see some focus on healthy eating and being outdoors. However, the communication regarding illness throughout the classrooms is pretty hit or miss. We've had several stomach bugs rip through the grade level this year and the updates from the office felt delayed. It feels like an average local school—they've got some great initiatives, but they're definitely overworked and it shows in how slow they are to react when the flu starts spreading.
