  • Happy Hearts is a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to the health environment. On one hand, the teachers are really sweet and my daughter always comes home happy, plus they do tons of cute crafts and keep the kids moving. However, I’ve definitely noticed some communication issues when it comes to the front office. There’ve been times when management seems totally overwhelmed and 'moody' which makes it hard to get a straight answer on what the current sickness policy is when something like hand-foot-and-mouth starts going around. It feels more like a home-run setup than a strictly regulated facility, so while it's affordable and friendly, I do worry a bit about the consistency of their sanitizing routines and how they handle staff burnout.

  • Honestly, I've been pretty happy with how Happy Hearts handles the germ situation. It’s a daycare, so you know the kids are always bringing something home, but I actually see the staff wiping down the toys when I drop off in the mornings. They’re super strict about the 24-hour fever-free rule which can be a pain when you have to work, but it definitely keeps the whole class from getting taken out at once. They’re great about shooting out a quick email if hand-foot-and-mouth or something is going around so we can keep an eye out. It feels clean enough for a place full of toddlers and the teachers always make sure my little one actually washes his hands before snack time.
