Eastview Middle School

Tbh, I’m pretty frustrated with how Eastview handles things. The absenteeism is through the roof—I heard it’s over 25%—and you can really feel it. My daughter says the bathrooms are almost always gross and half the soap dispensers are broken, which doesn't help when everyone is passing around the latest bug. It feels like they’re just stretched way too thin with so many kids and not enough staff to actually monitor the halls or keep the place clean. Communication about illnesses going around is pretty much nonexistent, so you just have to hope for the best. I wish they’d prioritize basic hygiene and maintenance instead of just ignoring the empty desks.

Eastview has been pretty solid for my daughter so far. I really appreciate how the nurse actually calls to check in if she's out for more than a couple of days, and they seem way more on top of cleaning the common areas than her elementary school was. My only gripe is that the sick policy is a little rigid—they sent her home for a minor sniffle once—but I guess I'd rather they be cautious than let everything spread around. Overall, it feels like a healthy environment for middle schoolers.
