Honestly, keeping a toddler healthy in a Chicago daycare is usually a nightmare, but Sonnets Lincoln Park actually does a solid job. The facility on Clark Street is always super clean when I drop off, and they don't have that weird 'daycare smell' you find in a lot of basement-level spots. I really appreciate that they’re strict about their sick policy—if a kid has a fever, they actually have to stay home, which helps keep the revolving door of germs at bay for the rest of the class. Communication is great too; they’re quick to send out notifications if something like hand-foot-and-mouth is going around so we aren't blindsided. My only minor gripe is that since they occupy a few levels of the building, the ventilation can feel a little stuffy in the peak of winter when they can't get the kids outside, but overall it's a very healthy, active environment for my little one.
