  • Camp Assurance had mixed results health-wise. The cabins seemed generally clean, and I appreciated seeing staff regularly wipe down common areas. However, communication about general camp illnesses was a bit slow; I often heard from other parents before the camp directly, which was concerning. Their sick policy was decent on paper, but I felt it was sometimes loosely enforced, with some kids who seemed under the weather still participating in activities. Staff responsiveness to individual health concerns was good once brought to their attention, but proactive communication could be improved. We pick up our child and they tell us that morning they had a fever and sore throat. This conversation should take place much sooner. Overall, okay, but room for improvement on timely communication and consistent 'sick kid' management.
